Travis Pettit
Instructional Systems Designer
Travis is an Instructional Systems Designer who specializes in adult education and has significant experience with course design, instruction, and evaluation. Prior to E-PAGA, Travis spent 10 years as a university administrator and director of admissions and marketing for adult, graduate, and professional programs. Since 2016 he has also served as an adjunct instructor, writing and teaching adult degree completion and graduate courses in organizational development, organizational behavior, and marketing. He has also participated in numerous course and curriculum redesign projects for several graduate and undergraduate programs.
Prior to his role in higher education, Travis spent 10 years in the finance industry as a consumer loan officer and branch manager. A first-generation college student, post-traditional student, and champion of life-long learning, Travis holds a B.S. in organizational development, an MBA, and will complete an M.Ed. in educational technology in 2022. His research interests include Adult Learning Theory, social learning, and the benefits of cohort-based adult degree programs.
In his spare time, Travis enjoys hiking in Shenandoah National Park, tackling DIY projects, experimenting with new recipes, binge-watching horror films from the 1970s and 80s, and anything Star Trek-related.
